What We Do

The SCDCC works to engage, inform and mobilize Stanislaus County Democrats. Much of this work is done through our chartered clubs, including issue advocacy, candidate forums, voter registration, and social events. Our work includes, but is not limited to:

Voter Registration

Throughout the year, we are actively registering new voters all over Stanislaus County. In the last two years, we have registered over 5,000 new voters. We continue to work on this until every last eligible voter in our county is registered.

Voter Outreach

In the 2018 midterm election voter turnout increased by 72% over the previous midterm in Stanislaus County, due to strategic grassroots organizing in coordination with the State Party. Our grassroots volunteers and activists will continue to reach out to local voters, providing information on officially endorsed candidates and motivating Stanislaus County Democrats to turn out to vote.

Endorsements

The Stanislaus County Democratic Party makes endorsements every election to inform Democratic voters about the candidates and ballot measures we consider most worthy of support.

Candidate Recruitment and Training

Have you considered running for office? You should! We have a long-range plan to recruit, train, and support good Democratic candidates at all levels – including local offices like city councils, school boards, and special districts. We are always looking for good people doing good for our community and we provide the training and support candidates need to win their races.

Fundraising

The resources to accomplish our goals come from our local supporters in Stanislaus County. The purpose of the money we raise is always to get Democrats elected to office.
